A report of the Department of Planning and Investment at the recent regular meeting of the Provincial People’s Committee showed that foreign investment capital (FDI) in the past 10 months in Ba Ria – Vung Tau has increased 2.78 times compared to the year of 2022. Accordingly, the province has attracted 20 FDI projects, with a total registered capital of more than 751 million USD, an increase of more than 481 million USD compared to the same period in 2022. Thus, up to now, there are 457 FDI projects in the province with a total registered investment capital of more than 31.433 billion USD. Of which, in the industrial park there are 284 projects with a total investment capital of 13.738 billion USD, and 173 projects with a total registered investment capital of more than 17.695 billion USD in other areas.
Along with that, the province has prepared land conditions, infrastructure, high-quality human resources… This is proven by the fact that industrial parks have ready clean land to hand over to investors. Meanwhile, a series of connecting transport infrastructure projects such as Bien Hoa – Vung Tau expressway, coastal road 994, Phuoc An bridge… are gradually being constructed. To create a breakthrough in attracting foreign investment in the future, in addition to building a favorable business and investment environment, along with preferential investment policies, the province needs to improve efficiency and be more proactive in promoting investment.
