Documents, procedures in changing address for foreign investors
According to Vietnamese law, foreign investors have to adjust an Investment Registration Certificate when there is content in the certificate that needs to be changed. Therefore if there is a change in the investor’s address, it is necessary to carry out this adjustment procedure to ensure correct information and ensure the relevant rights of the investor.
What is investor address change?
The investor’s address is one of the basic information of the investor recorded on the Investment Certificate. Therefore, when there is a change in the investor’s address information on the Investment Certificate, the investor needs to carry out update procedures or procedures to change the investor’s address.
Documents of changing investor’s address
- A written request for adjustment of the Investment Registration Certificate
- Report on the implementation of the investment project up to the time of requesting adjustment of the investment project
- Decision on adjusting the investor’s investment project
- Explanation, provision of documents related to adjusted content: Organization’s registration showing the new address; documents proving that the address has changed
- 01 original Investment Registration Certificate
- The most recent annual financial report of the company/project; confirmation of bank account that the investor has contributed enough capital
Note: applies to cases of investor’s address change that do not simultaneously lead to a change of investment location.

- The Department of Planning and Investment deals with projects outside industrial zones, export processing zones
