Visa renewal procedures for South Korean citizens
South Korean citizens are exempt from visa requirements, meaning they do not need to apply for a visa when entering Vietnam with a temporary stay of 15 days from the date of entry, regardless of passport type or purpose of entry. However, South Koreans who wish to stay in Vietnam for a longer period for work, family visits, etc., must apply for a visa extension. If a South Korean citizen does not extend their visa and remains in Vietnam after their visa expires, they will be considered a violation of immigration laws and may face fines ranging from 500,000 VND to 20,000,000 VND, deportation, and restrictions on re-entry into Vietnam. Therefore, in this article, we invite you to join Siglaw to learn more about the conditions, documents, and procedures for extending a visa for South Koreans in Vietnam.
